Nicht nur in den Oberstufenkursen, die dieses Semester das verpflichtende Abiturthema "The American South" behandeln, ist unsere amerikanische Assistentin Andrea Ziffer ein gern gesehener Gast. Auch im Unterricht der Mittelstufe trägt sie zur Authentizität bei. Hier stellt sie sich selbst vor.
My name is Andrea Ziffer and I am the new English teaching assistant. I am from the United States and I will work at the Goetheschule until the end of June. I was born and grew up in Chicago Illinois. When I was 18 years old, I moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to study German and Political Science at Coe College. My third year of college I did an exchange to Landau, Pfalz and discovered that I loved the German language and people. After I finished college in May 2007 I went to Thailand to work as an English teacher for a year but I wanted another chance to live in Germany so I decided to come back and work as a teaching assistant. I’m excited to be here and meet all of you!
